Global Town Hall

Financial Literacy Models Around the World
Video
9:45AM - 11:00AM

Post global economic crisis, financial literacy is now a civil rights issue, and the first global silver rights issue. This said, financial literacy must undergo a substantial revision of thought with respect to its ability to be practical, to meet individuals where they are and to empower people, to be aspirationally relevant, and to reach meaningful scale. Financial literacy must also speak to audiences from 8 to 80, and from the world's poor and underserved making $2 per day, to the world's middle class, making $40,000 or more a year. This global town hall will look at what's working around the world, but will also hear from global thought and business and government leaders, on what should or could come next in the evolutionary process around financial literacy in our lives, and on the world stage.
