Janet Parker, provides strategic Human Resources direction to Consumer Services, Business Services, and the Management Associate program for Regions Financial Corporation. She is a 14-year veteran with Regions, a top U.S. bank-holding company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, with $142 billion in assets, operating over 2,000 branches in 16 states.

Parker earned a bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. She is also a graduate of the American Banking Institution’s Graduate Human Resources School and holds her Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification.

Parker currently serves as Past Chair of the national board of directors for the Society for Human Resource Management. Prior to this role, she has served in various volunteers roles at the local and state level.  She is also a member of the Birmingham Society for Human Resource Management and serves on the Advisory Committee for the Chapter. In 2008, Parker was appointed by President Bush to the newly created President’s Advisory Council on Financial Literacy. She has been a guest speaker at universities including Jacksonville State University and the University of Alabama. She is involved in various community events including assisting local agencies with financial literacy efforts.
